Recap - Sheckler Foundation "Skate for a cause" competition

This last Saturday (May 4th, 2013), was invited to check out the 4th annual Scheckler Foundation “Skate for a Cause” competition. We had a great time chatting it up with the pros and drinking all the Fred Water (yes, “Fred” water) and Redbull we could get our hands on. We were lucky enough to have decent weather and enjoy some great skateboarding as well. The events and winners are listed below: Christian Hosoi won the GoPro Legends Bowl Contest.

Local Lake Forest AM Dylan Witkin won the Fred Water SkaterCross.

Greg Lutzka won the Red Bull Tech Center Best Trick Contest.

Austen Seaholm won the CCS Tranny Best Trick.

Dylan also won the Tilly’s Stairs, Hubbas and Rails Best Trick Contest.    ____________________________________________

Overall, the $100,000 raised will go to building a skatepark on the Port Gamble S’klallam Reservation as a part of the “Be the Change” project.

It’s good to know the skateboard community can unite and raise money for a good cause – bringing skateboarding to where it is needed the most.
