Nike SB Sample Sunday

Today we bring to you two older samples from the forums.

Medicom 4 Sample: Released verison featured an all over white snakeskin. Sample has a black, white, and grey snakeskin pattern on the toebox, midpanel, and heel panel. Also the sample has white stitching on the midsole instead of gold. Read below for a brief description of the inspiration behind the original.

"This Nike Dunk SB White Snake is a special collaboration between Babekub City (a Japanese website) X Nike and will be their 4th collaboration on SB Dunk so far. This time in the premium class with full snake skin subtlely in white. The company’s commemorative release features insoles embossed with the Roman numeral “X” signifying it’s 10th anniversary. Release Date: November 2006."

Shoe Goo Sample: Featured a thin tongue along with plain grey color in place of where the shoe goo print is on the released verison. Another subtle difference is a red pull tab on the back panel of the released version versus a white one on the sample. Read below for some background on the shoe.

“There’s a thorough amount of detailing seen as the side panels are represented by a detailed duct tape print, which was reproduced through the scanning of an actual duct tape arrangement. Also seen on the upper is a cracked leather treatment and although not seen through the laces, the thick nylon tongue features a red drip design inspired by the actual Shoe Goo packaging. Finishing off the whole package is a yellow translucent midsole. Release Date: September 2008.”
