For some reason a lot of people in the Netherlands pay no attention to anything that happens outside of the ‘Randstad’ (an area in the Mid-West of the Netherlands that features the nation’s biggest and important cities: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and The Hague), wich means every now and then they miss out on something great. One of those things is skateboutique Frisco in Arnhem, a city in the East part of the country. The shop started out in May 2006 and has grown a lot over the past year. Now they moved to next door to their old spot wich was a good reason to do a redesign of the shop. And while most people spent 07/07/07 watching famous people talk about Mother Nature,NikeSB.org went down to Arnhem for the official opening of the new Frisco. Extra, extra, read all about it!
A good opening features some nice exclusives:
European premiere of the MF Doom Dunk and a limited edition (only 3 pieces!) MF Doom inspired hoodie by Holland’s best kept secret: Chunyinman (also responsible for the MF Doom Maneki Neko in the pic)
Who hasn’t done a collabo these days? Frisco x Trainerspotter windrunner, limited to 12 pieces:
Nike SB Money Cats/Maneki Neko’s fully restocked for the custom Maneki Neko exhibition, plus some tees from the new shopline: Frisceau:
Frisco sells shoes by Nike SB (premium account), Vans (Syndicate/Vault), DVS, És, Etnies, DC and New Balance:
Offcourse a good selection of (vintage) hats (Oh yeah, did you see those skated Loons up there?):
Just in time for the opening: Full collections of Crooks & Castles and The Hundreds:
The clothing section features brands like Staple, Freshjive, Stussy, 10 Deep, Mike, Enjoi, Mighty Healthy and many others:
Some reading material as well:
And of course decks (hardware is stored in the back):
So if you ever find yourself in The Netherlands, stop by Frisco in Arnhem for your sneaker/clothing/skateboarding needs.
