Nike SB has updated their website. From now on there’s no more Flash based menu navigation (finally!) The shoe archive has gotten a great update. On the new site you can browse the releases for every year since 2002 and make a further selection on model. Strangely enough the Omar Salazar shoe is listed as a ‘special’, probably because it will be discontinued soon. Sadly enough certrain shoes that weren’t on the previous site’s archive have not been included (like the Paul Brown Blazers and Trainers, certain P-Rod and P-Rod 2 collabo’s and all Supreme releases after the Delta Forces to name a few) but the improved navigation makes it the most useable SB archive out there right now.
Apparel and footwear now both have their own section on the new site. Footwear highlights the monthly releases, apparel features the full Spring collection (including the P-Rod line)
The store index has been updated as well, although it’s kinda bad that it still lists shops that lost their SB account or simply closed up shop (I found a shop that has been closed for over five years!) Though it’s easier to navigate it kinda loses its value if it lists shops that no longer have an account or aren’t even in business anymore.
The team page has been updated as well. It seems like there are a few riders that are no longer part of the SB program, without an official statement (like the one they did when Reese Forbes left) SB OG Todd Jordan is missing, so are Dan Murphy and David Clark. Skaters like Pete Hewitt and Matt Beach and finally have their own place on the team page and yes, Shane O’Neill is still on there (but for how long…)
All in all it’s a great update for the Nike SB site and we can only hope they manage to keep the news and team pages a bit more up to date.
