Over the last week the East Coast of the United States was left in shambles by hurricane sandy. New Jersey was arguably the most affected, with the entire shore still under water and many still without power. Local powerhouse NJ Skateshop stepped up and took matters into their own hands by hosting donations to help skaters in need.
While many of us sneaker heads love the feeling of copping a fresh pair, that feeling is pale in comparison to what those who have lost their entire livelihoods and homes to this disaster are feeling today. With that mentality in mind, we at N-sb.org ask that anyone who can donate anything large or small to do so.
Donations can be sent to:
29-b Easton Ave
New Brunswick, NJ 08901
We applaud NJ Skateshop for taking care of their own in the good times and bad, and we hope that there generosity will encourage some of you reading this to donate to people who could truly use it. They are actually delivering goods directly to those in need, there is no middle man and that is hard work and should not go unappreciated, so drop them some words of thanks on Facebook.
Many Skate companies and pros have already stepped up, guys like Terry Kenneddy, Weiger, Guy Mariono, Anthony Van Elegan, and many others that have already sent boxes of product to help the cause (pictured below).
If your a jersey local, we encourage you to stop by and give whatever you may have. People are hurting and we can make a difference.
