Reggie Destin was known far and wide as one of the realest ever to come up out of Chicago and he died doing what he loved, skateboarding.
Whats crazy about this story is that Reggie was actually out at 2AM skating in a local park. If more of today's skaters had dedication like that the skateboarding industry would be a better place. But during his sesh a drunk driver struck him and that very morning he was pronounced dead.
While many younger heads may not know of the name Reggie Destin, we encourage you to peep his legacy including Push skateboards, his old 1990's skate company. Reggie worked behind the scenes for decades sculpting the skate culture of Chicago and many other places. Many Chicago skaters have encountered Reggie on the street, and he was always kind and willing to share the knowledge he had with others. Diamond Supply Co. recently hosted a Halloween hellride event in Reggies honor.
Today, we ask that if you skate to take a sesh in Reggies honor and to keep his friends and family in your thoughts and prayers.
RIP to one of the realest.
